SESSION ABSTRACT


This session will share a locally-developed model of professional development, inclusive of quality instructional components leading to participant engagement and content mastery, in an online teaching and learning environment followed by face-to-face real-time coaching. This model will revolutionize your teacher delivery model for building capacity in your school district.


PRESENTER INFORMATION


Jenny Alyn Key: Mrs. Key is an English teacher at the Surry Early College High School in Surry County Schools. An innovative trainer, she focuses on participant engagement as she works with teachers in CRISS, Cooperative Learning, Literacy at the Core, and many others. Mrs. Key is a successful teacher and a leader among her colleagues throughout the school district.

OBJECTIVES / LEARNING TARGETS


1. Participants will identify their PD symptoms of why teachers are not engaged in PD.
2. Participants will understand how synchronous and asynchronous delivery of PD can engage and motivate teachers to learn.
